Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the Tic Tac Touch team to explain what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is not legal advice. If you notice anything unclear, email us using the address at the bottom.

1.Who is responsible

The data controller is [Legal entity name, e.g. “Tic Tac Touch, LLC”], [registered address]. You can reach our privacy contact at [privacy@yourdomain.com].

2.Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the app:

  • Account info: email address, password (stored hashed), or Google sign-in identifier.
  • Profile info: display name, date of birth (used to confirm 18+ and match age preferences — we display your age, not the raw date), gender, orientation, bio, city, interests, and photos you upload.
  • Location: if you tap “Use my location,” we store the approximate latitude and longitude from your browser to sort nearby profiles. You can clear this at any time from your profile page.
  • Verification photo: if you opt into verification, we keep the selfie you submit in a private storage bucket accessible only to reviewers.
  • Preferences: age range, distance, gender preferences, notification and content settings.
  • Activity: matches, games, questions, answers, chat messages, blocks, reports, and unmatches.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and basic logs used to keep the app running and to detect abuse.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using the app, please contact us and we’ll remove the account.

3.How we use your information

  • Create your account and show your profile to potential matches.
  • Run the game, deliver messages, and calculate distance and compatibility.
  • Keep the community safe: moderate content, review reports, prevent abuse.
  • Send in-app notifications and, if you opt in, email updates.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your messages or answers to train third-party AI models.

4.Automated moderation with AI

To keep chat and profiles safe, we send short pieces of text (messages, bios, profile fields) to an AI moderation service to check for harassment, threats, or other prohibited content. The service processes the text to return an allow/deny decision; it is not used to train public models on your data.

5.How we share information

We share only what is needed to operate the Service:

  • Other users: your public profile (name, photos, age, city, bio, interests, verified badge) and anything you send in chat or answer in the game.
  • Infrastructure providers: our hosting, database, storage, and email vendors process data on our behalf under written agreements. [List primary subprocessors here, e.g. hosting, database, email.]
  • Legal: when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.
  • Business transfers: if the Company is acquired or merges, your data may transfer, with notice to you.

6.How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and photos from other users’ view within a few days and from our systems within [30–90 days], except where we need to retain limited records for safety, fraud prevention, or legal reasons. Chat messages you sent to another user are hidden from your side when you delete a conversation, but the other participant may still see their copy.

7.Security

We use industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, row-level access controls on our database, and signed URLs for private files. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and let us know immediately if you suspect a problem.

8.Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data.
  • Correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent (for email or location, for example) at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email [privacy@yourdomain.com]. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act on the request.

9.International transfers

We and our providers may process your data in [country/region]. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10.Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies only to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. If we later add product analytics or marketing pixels, we’ll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

11.Changes

We’ll update the effective date at the top when this policy changes. For material changes we’ll notify you in the app or by email.
